Catching Up

Today I finally got around to photographing my cards I've been meaning to post. I've been preoccupied riding my horses and haven't taken the time to take photos. The first photo I'm going to show is a thank you card that I made. I played around with some gold ink, stencils, and white Mr. Huey's.

I started by stamping my background with Papertrey Ink's Polka Dot Basics II in gold ink. I then took a stencil by Crafter's Workshop and sprayed some white Mr. Huey's ink. I finished with my "thanks" sentiment by Paper Smooches, as well as brown baker's twine and Kaisercraft pearls.

My second card is also a thank you card using the flamingo from Lawn Fawn's Gnome Sweet Gnome set. I really like how this card turned out.

I die cut a shape using some Sizzix dies and then hand stitched the lines in the center. Two of the lines I used all six strands of the thread and the third line I just used one strand. I like the variation of using different numbers of strands. Here is a close up of the stitching...

Well that is all I have for today. Hopefully I will make more cards and post more regularly. Thanks for stopping by!

You're So Rad

I'm finally able to get back to my blog after finishing school for the semester. I can now focus on updating my blog on a more regular basis and enjoy making cards to share. I really didn't have a motive for the card I'm sharing today, I just looked at my craft supplies and put this together.

Unfortunately the photo didn't come out well enough to read the gold lettering but it says "you're so rad."I used the arrows from the sharp backdrops from Lawn Fawn to stamp the background. I really like how the Hero Arts wet cement ink turned out with the arrows. Then I took a Tim Holtz die and cut out the shape and stamped the "RAD" sentiment. Finally I added some Studio Calico wood veneers and some pearls to finish it off.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (kraft) white (Neenah Solar White)
Stamps: Sharp Backdrops (Lawnfawn) Rad (Kelly Purkey)
Ink: Wet Cement and Grape Juice (Hero Arts)
Other: Tim Holtz Styled Labels die, wood veneers (Studio Calico) gold pen (Uniball) pearls (Kaiser)
